In addition to the six BC offshore programs in China, Canada British Columbia International Schools also operates an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and BC Independent School in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada called Lowell High School. Lowell High School is an urban university preparatory school located in downtown Vancouver. We welcome students from around the world to expand their horizons through a great Canadian education experience, offering the the IB Diploma Programme (DP), as well as the British Columbia (BC) Graduation Program for grades 10 – 12. Lowell High School is accredited by both the International Baccalaureate Organization and the BC Ministry of Education, and is a member of the BC Association of IB World Schools, and the Federation of Independent Schools Association (FISA).
With a superior location in the Canada Broadcasting Corporation building in Yaletown in the heart of Vancouver, Lowell offers a unique urban educational experience. In addition to local students and international students from around the world, Lowell High School provides the opportunity for the CBC International Schools students to take some portion of their high school program. Lowell runs the same standardized BC course offering as the offshore schools, thereby allowing students to transfer for a semester or a full school year to experience life and study in Vancouver, Canada.
